Alcazar will puzzle your afternoon, bend your brain

Prepare to cede your afternoon.

Jérôme Morin-Drouin of the Incredible Company has released a delightful and maddening puzzler in the form of Alcazar. Drawing on elements of Moorish design, from which the game takes its name, the game asks you to merely connect two or more exits in a straight line while passing through every single tile. Former Rhode Island School of Design president John Maeda said it best: “Simplicity is about subtracting the obvious and adding the meaningful.” My sentiments exactly.

And given that his penultimate post on Twitter (several months ago!) was an NYT article on "positive procrastination," you have an idea of where Morin-Drouin's head is at. You can try Alcazar here.
